Requires mechanical skills and ability to work on vehicle electrical systems and install automotive accessories. Knowledge of 12volt electrical systems and ability to identify basic vehicle wiring will be a plus.
Applicant MUST take pride in their work; have good mechanical aptitude, a history of reliability, and history of good work ethics. Applicant should supply three personal references (phone numbers) and references from a past employer(s), teachers, or instructors.
Applicants must supply their own basic tools necessary to perform this job. Specialty tools will be supplied. This position consists of a six month training period/one year probationary period.
Primary responsibilities include installation of two-way radios, antennas, vehicle lighting, radars, cameras, switches, computers, push bumpers, roll bar cages, etc. into EMERGENCY VEHICLES and COMMERCIAL VEHICLES. Applicant should be abile to lift 50 pounds, have agility to work in trunk and under dash of vehicles, and have a basic understanding of wiring diagrams and vehicle electrical systems.
